  • Update Wide Logo invoice template, now includes more customer details and PO number.
  • Inventory list fields can now be changed, right click on the grid title for the options. Forward and reverse sorting also added, just click on the column title.
  • When creating invoices you can now search for existing customers via their business name. The results can now also be sorted, just click on the column title.

  • Added new custom export for Quickbooks. Includes date range export and specific fields for Quickbooks integration. This should improve integration into Quickbooks for account management.
  • Updated Item Groups to include descriptions, also added to the item group list from better organization.
  • Custom invoice option can now be directly printed without the need to be opened in MS Word.
  • Item Groups can now be grouped by a prefix when added to an invoice. This should help to identify with Item Group they were added from when viewing customer invoices.

  • Receiving of stock can now include the weight received. Select Configure > Manual Receive Stock to enable the option.
  • Inventory > Receive Stock, now includes the ability to record stock weight.

  • Custom Delivery Note has been updated, to now include new tags for item and total weight.
  • Added a new Custom Picking List option, allowing Word to be used to create a custom layout.

  • Added new User Access Access Right 'Add Order Item - filter to Default Warehouse'. When a Default Warehouse is assigned only those items that are located within the Default Warehouse will be shown to users when creating an invoice/order on search. The option can be found under Configure > User Access.
  • Added new option to record Transferring of Stock between locations. When enabled this records the item name + number, original warehouse and location, destination warehouse and location, quantity transferred and date. A new report can then be viewed under Reports > Stock Transfer Report. The option can be enabled under Configure > Transfer Stock.

  • Added new Item Tracking History Report. This shows the actions that have been performed on tracked items, along with any notes.
  • Tracked Item view has been updated to include the Action, Action Date and Notes. The view is now grouped by the Unique Tracking Code.
  • The help manual has been updated (in-built and PDF).
  • Various screens have been updated to the new style format Track History, Custom Fields, Export windows.
  • Bug fix - Find Customer with a large result set was causing a crash. This has been expanded to over 2 million.
  • Bug fix - When editing an order quantity and entering in a + sign caused a mismatch.
  • Bug fix - Invoice preview was sometimes not displaying.
  • Bug fix - new cross reference system for items would occassionaly cause an error.

September 2017
  • Added new cross-referencing feature, if it proves popular, we will extend to other areas. We're looking for feedback on this feature before it's fully completed. At present we've included the basic feature in the inventory list. Right click on an Item to send the current item to the Item Sales Report. Once fully extended this will include other reports, exports, invoices and so on.
  • Updated error messaging with the database. Some users were having trouble setting up the multiple PC edition. This update improves the diagnosics to help guide the setup process.
  • Vendor Reordering has been updated using the new Vendor Item Number. You can now choose to use your own internal numbering system or switch to the Vendors numbering system. The option is under Configure > Vendor Reordering and effects the Vendor Reorder Report.

  • We've added a new custom template for Vendor Purchase Orders. Purchase Orders can now be fully customized using Word. New tags and layout options allow you to modify what information is included, so you can now directly send Purchase Orders to Vendors without further modification.

  • Added new options for the interface. Preferences can be used on different devices, resolutions and personal preference. Includes options such as toggling of big/small toolbar, hiding/showing header in main views (including inline instructions), showing current view on title bar, etc.
  • The New Invoice view will now automatically adjust the layout based on the device capabilities.
  • Improved support for different currencies.
  • Various bug fixes including currency symbol display issue, exports were sometimes failing if a previous view hadn't occured, Item Expiration Date for the SQL Server Edition. etc.

  • Support system 'Send Database to iMagic Support' has been updated with our new server details. Note that older versions will no longer be able to use this feature.
  • We've also included some minor updates in this interim release. Including fixes on Import Invoices and Export Invoices layout. Update for the SQL Server Edition, with a fix for the inventory item editor.

November 2016
  • We've added a new Stock Count feature, this allows you to record what changes have been made in a given session and produce a report. Stock Count is used to balance your physical inventory with that recorded. While reporting allows you to not only track your inventory discrepancies but also include them in your accounting at end of year. Loses would likely be tax deductible. The new option is available under Inventory > Stock Count. For those wanting to use the previous stock count we've moved it to Inventory > Quick Stock Level Adjust.
  • Document Styles now includes a preview for each invoice style.
  • GUI updates have been made available - we've updated report view layout, added option to hide the main toolbar (for smaller devices) and updated several screens to the newer modern style.
  • Inventory > Receive Stock now automatically updates the item's purchase price when selected. Keyboard select has also been added.
  • Various bug fixes that have been reported have been resolved - null check on database update, null check on Receive Stock, fixed inventory export with locations, fixed inventory import with overwrite.

  • Inventory import has been updated to allow for a direct match to the internal item ID. This can save substantial time when linking between systems.
  • Interface has been updated to improve readability on different devices. New options have been added to Configure > Interface. This allows the system to be used on high resolution desktops to lower powered netbooks and tablet PCs.
  • Customer returned item levels can now be automatically adjusted after the initial customer order has been placed. New business rules have been added for handing returns, they can be found in Configure > Stock Levels.
  • Reorders now list the individual warehouse at the item level. This requires 'Reorder Levels by Warehouse' to be active. If it is, you can now reorder for each individual warehouse.
  • New User Access Rights (Configure > User Access) have been added for receiving stock and reducing stock.
  • Inventory cloud edition has been enabled for some users.

  • An item's Price List can now be updated after being added to an invoice. While editing the Invoice select Invoices/This Invoice/Change Price List. This can be useful when setting pricing per quantity ordered or when the customer qualifies for a discount while the order is being made.
  • Added new Invoice Style - 'Full Details with Categories'. This includes all the details from the Full Details style but also breaks down the items into their item category.

  • Added support for multiple Item pictures. To enable for your inventory select Configure/Item Fields and check 'Additional Pictures', these pictures are in addition to the main picture field under 'Picture'.
  • Created a new report 'Invoice Taxable Non-taxable Report', this lists invoices between a date range and breaks down the taxable and non-taxable item totals.
  • Various bug fixes including a starup crash with the Spanish language and row height bug on the inventory list.

  • Item Group's have been updated to allow assigning of an Item Number. This will be included on an customer order/invoice when grouping by name.
  • Vendor Reordering has been modified to allow reordering by warehouse (previously it was by item). This allows a reorder point to be set for items based on the warehouse they are located in. To enable select Configure/Vendor Reordering.
  • Included a new Item Field - Warehouse Reorder. This can be enabled in Configure/Item Fields, it allows for the assigning of a Reorder Stock Level and Reorder Point for each Warehouse the Item is located in.
  • Vendor Reordering has been updated - Vendors/Stock Status and Reorder. Stock status is checked per warehouse for enabled items.
  • Various bug fixes, including an issue with the main Window being painted fully and Item Group GUI fixes.

  • Updated Invoice Export to include created user and total profit columns. (used for calculating sales commission)
  • Updated File/Export Inventory to include the preferred vendor purchase price.
  • Item Group GUI has been updated.
  • The inventory list view option can now show item custom fields.
  • The existing existing 'Commission Report' has been renamed to 'Commission Report - Total' and add new report 'Commission Report - Profit' has been added. These reports show commission based on either the total of the invoice or the total calculated profit of an invoice.
  • SQL logging option has been included in the configuration for debugging purposes, when turned on this records the database activity to a log file.
  • Various bugs have been fixed - license wasn't always showing on license screen. Fixed bug when converting a quote to an invoice with an Item Group wasn't correctly updating the stock level. Item tracking list was crashing with overflow. Inventory column sizing was not always being recalled. Fixed commission report bug where it wasn't always showing the address. Fixed invoice inventory return to stock bug. (many thanks to those that reported those issues)

  • Added new options for pricing Item Groups. An Item Group can now have a fixed or calculated sale price based on the combined sale price.
  • Historical profit calculations are now recorded. This updates the reports - Invoice cost and Profit Report, Total Profit and Total Profit by Warehouse and Category. Note historical reporting will only be available for dates after having installed this update.

  • Find/Inventory option can now search on all Vendor Item Number (rather than just preferred).
  • Added CleanInstall feature. This will repair faulty database and configuration installations.
  • Item Tracking update. When adding an item to an invoice if item has item tracking enabled it will assign it to the invoice regardless of when it was initially created.
  • A popup message is now displayed when adding items to an invoice via a barcode scan if not enough stock.
  • Increased maximum customers in Customer Statement Report to over 32,000.

  • Items can now be marked as being on backorder for a customer. This includes the ability to view current backorders and view how many items are currently on backorder when creating a new customer order.

  • Added a new Default Item Tax Rate for Customers. You can now select a default tax rate for a customer, when creating an invoice it will be automatically applied.
  • Added a new Default Item Tax Rate for Invoices. You can now select a default tax rate for an invoice, this will automatically apply that tax rate when adding items to that invoice. Helpful for tax except organizations, when tax rates should be applied to specific organization types (such as governments) or automatically applying a state tax or overseas tax.

  • Multiple Vendors can now be added against an item, along with purchase price and preferred vendor. Along with other features in this update it should greatly expand the vendor reordering system.
  • Custom invoices can now have a generated output folder defined, so they can be kept together.
  • Finding an Invoice can now select between searching on invoice and quote combinations.
  • New installs default the Database install folder into My Documents (My DocumentsiMagic InventoryDatabase). This should avoid any compatibility issues created by Windows and help to ensure that the data is included in scheduled backups. (Network Admin now also defaults to the new folder, when being used on multiple PCs at once.)

  • New low stock reordering system, includes tracking of preferred vendor.

  • Main Inventory List has been optimized for loading larger data sets.
  • Custom Export and Inventory Export have been updated to include the new vendor and purchasing information.
  • Inventory Import has been updated with new vendor information. This allows for import of vendor supplied pricing lists.
  • Manual item reordering now tracks vendors.
  • New Vendor Item Number allows tracking of the vendor's code for an item, including multiple vendors. This can now be imported via the Item Import.

  • SQL Server edition update.
  • Vendor reorder now generated when a stock level reaches the reorder point rather than below it. This allows for the reorder to be set at 0 (rather than -1).
  • Vendor reorder now ignores inactive items.
  • If unable to send database file to support, now asks to show instructions on sending the file manually. Indicate possible firewall block.
  • Bug fix, shipping total save.
  • If OS is after Windows XP, Database requires update and is in Program Files, iMagic Inventory will abort upgrade.

  • The Category field can now be used in item imports (File/Import Inventory). Previously the Category was not shown due to it being in a hierarchy with the Sub-Category, as such only the Sub-Category was shown. This however was causing issues when the Sub-Category was not a unique name and could appear in more than one Category. The old behaviour is still available however, simply don't select a Category in the import.
